Historic Volunteer Contingent - 4th Annual AWC Day of Champions

Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College announced that they will host the 4th Annual AWC Day of Champions Saturday, August 23rd. Over 300 volunteers will work nearly 40 different community involvement projects throughout the cities of Yuma, Somerton, San Luis and Wellton, and for the second straight year, the Day of Champions will extend its coverage to the Imperial Valley as well.

Marijuana Smugglers Get Crafty Hiding Marijuana in Ladders - San Luis

San Luis, Arizona - United States Customs and Border Protection officers stopped an unusual drug-smuggling attempt at the San Luis port of entry when they discovered 74 packages of marijuana hidden inside two ladders being brought into the United States.

Northern Arizona University Moving Public Agency Management Degree Programs to NAU-Yuma

Yuma, Arizona - Northern Arizona University has announced plans to relocate the University’s Public Agency Management programs to Yuma, effective Fall 2008. Over-sight and administration of these programs will be added to the responsibilities of NAU-Yuma’s Associate Vice President/Campus Executive Officer Larry Gould, Ph.D.
