USDA Awards $356 Million in Electric Loans

Washington, DC - Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack today said that 16 rural utilities and cooperatives in 10 states have been selected to receive $356 million in loans to build and repair 3,830 miles of distribution and transmission lines and make system improvements that will affect more than 45,000 rural customers.

USDA To Release New Long-term Agricultural Projections

Washington, DC - The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will release new 10-year agricultural projections Feb. 12 at 12:00 noon EST. "USDA Agricultural Projections to 2018" will be released on the Office of the Chief Economist Web site. USDA publishes the projections each year in February.
