Washington, DC - As both houses of Congress take action this week on an economic stimulus bill, the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) urges its members to contact their congressional delegations to seek funding for waterways infrastructure funding on the Upper Mississippi and Illinois Rivers.

Deere & Company Joins Business Leaders in Proposed Climate Action Plan

Moline, Illinois - Robert W. Lane, chairman and chief executive officer of Deere & Company, joined other business leaders in Washington D.C. to unveil the U.S. Climate Action Partnership's "Blueprint for Legislative Action." Lock and Dam Funding Requested

Washington, DC - The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) joins key business, labor and environmental organizations in request of funding for locks and dams in the 2009 Stimulus Package. The letters were sent today to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Minority Leader John Boehner, Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell expressing support for renovation and construction of locks and dams on the inland waterways system of the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers.
