Lenexa, Kansas - Frontier Equipment announces several new additions to its expanding lineup of hay tools with the introduction of a new line of wheel and rotary rakes, bale spears, and bale processor. “Frontier hay equipment satisfies the needs of producers who manage small, large, or custom hay operations,” says Michael Horrell, Frontier Equipment sales and marketing manager. “Customers want affordable, dependable hay tools, and we deliver with a wide range of equipment for hay making, handling, and feeding.” Frontier’s all-new WR30, WR33, and WR34 Series Carted Wheel Rakes are available in numerous sizes and configurations. For producers who manage small hay operations or work with lighter hay conditions, WR30 Series rakes are a good fit - available with eight, 10, or 12 wheels. WR33 Series rakes feature an overhead frame and are available with 10, 12, 13, or 15 wheels. These high-volume wheel rakes are an ideal choice for hay producers with large operations. Custom operators can choose a model from the all-new WR34 Series that rake up to 34.5 feet wide. They’re available with 14, 16, 17, or 19 wheels. “We offer a wheel rake for most any size of hay operation. Each rake is easy to use, and adjustments are trouble-free so you can finish raking your hay in less time,” says Horrell. Two new lines of Frontier rotary rakes are also now being offered. The RR21 and RR22 Series Rakes feature a maximum working width up to 9 and 11 feet wide respectively. “The gentle sweeping action of these rakes keeps dirt and debris out of the windrow for a worry-free harvest. Cam-action tines gently deposit the crop into the swath reducing leaf loss. You get tall, fluffy, fast-drying windrows,” adds Horrell. Frontier is also making it easier for producers to move large square or round bales with the addition of its new AL12 Series Triple Bale Spears. These new loader attachments are available in four models to fit small, medium, or large tractors. “The three-spear design makes them an ideal choice for moving bales up to 2,500 pounds. Each spear is two inches in diameter and 49 inches long. Plus, individual spears can be replaced if they’re ever damaged,” says Horrell. Another addition to Frontier’s hay-tool lineup is the all-new BP1166 Bale Processor - a simple, efficient tool that producers can use to feed round bales to cattle. It’s semi-mounted to a tractor’s three-point hitch for easy maneuverability and it handles round bales up to 1,500 pounds. “The bale processor is self loading. Once it’s loaded the bale is rotated and the forage is chopped into designated lengths. Dry hay from the outside of the bale is then mixed with fresh hay from the inside. Then, the hay is spread in a uniform, consistent windrow giving each animal their fair share,” Horrell says. |
