Moline, Illinois - In voluntary cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Deere & Company is recalling certain Gator XUV 620i Utility Vehicles. Our records show that you own one of these utility vehicles. PROBLEM: The fuel tank may have a gap in the seam at the base of the filler neck. Fuel may leak from the gap, presenting a potential for fire. PRODUCT: John Deere XUV Utility Vehicles with the following model and serial number ranges. Model Serial Number Ranges
WHAT TO DO:
Contact your nearest John Deere dealer as soon as possible to make arrangements to have your machine tested and the tank replaced, if deemed faulty. This service will be performed at no cost to you. If necessary, your dealer will make arrangements to transport your machine to facilitate this service.
Until your dealer has performed this service on your XUV 620i utility vehicle, please use caution when fueling and operating the vehicle. Do not fill the fuel tank any higher than half full. Also inform any person who will be fueling or operating this unit of this situation.
If you no longer own the Utility Vehicle please take a few moments to complete and mail the enclosed postage paid reply card.
